From Jeff & Duke (the Super Sales Pug): A Thanksgiving Eve Message for Sales Warriors & Accidental Sellers

Alright team, it’s the day before Thanksgiving. Half your brain is thinking about stuffing, and the other half is trying to decide whether it’s socially acceptable to follow up with a prospect at 4:47 pm. (Duke says yes. I say…use judgment and coffee)

Let’s get real for a second.

Tomorrow is about gratitude, family, and carbs. But today? Today is about perspective.

Duke wanted me to remind you that selling is serving. You’re not “bugging” people. You’re helping them solve problems, make better decisions, move forward. (Also according to Duke, you’re helping yourself afford better dog treats – premium ones, not the “came from a coupon bin” kind)

Before you shut down the laptop and loosen the belt two notches tomorrow, take a moment to appreciate how far you’ve come this year. Every “no” made you tougher. Every “maybe” made you smarter. Every “yes” proved you’re doing something right. Growth doesn’t always look like fireworks – sometimes it looks like getting back up after being ghosted…again…and still sending the polite follow-up. That’s character. That’s grit. That’s sales. (avoid getting ghosted by always getting a BNASTY – Best Next Action Step Toward Yes)

Duke also wants you to know you don’t need to close a deal tomorrow. You need to close your laptop. Be present. Laugh. Eat too much. Nap unapologetically. The deals will still be there Friday (and if they aren’t, they weren’t your deals anyway).

And hey – if you’re feeling behind, burned out, or wondering if you’re “doing enough,” here’s the truth: showing up consistently in a hard profession already makes you exceptional. Most people quit. You’re still standing.

So tonight, take inventory – not of your pipeline, but of what you’re grateful for. The clients who believed in you. The coworkers who had your back. The lessons that shaped you. And yes…the dog (or cat or kid) who pretends you’re a superhero.

From me and Duke the Super Sales Pug:

You’re doing better than you think. You’re closer than you feel. And you’ve got a lot to be thankful for.

Happy Thanksgiving, friends. 🧡
