Are You a Q1 Fool?
Monday was April Fools Day!
Are you an April fool? Or, more accurately, are you a Q1 fool?
IT’S Q2…25% of this year is over. Done. Finito. GONE. Are you AT LEAST 25% of the way to your 2024 goal? If not, what’s your plan?
NOW is the time to get busy and catch up. Q3 is typically too late, and Q4 only gives you the opportunity to make up for a bad first 3/4 of the year if you’re in an industry where much/most of your business comes in end of year. (e.g. – payroll, insurance)
NOW is the time to:
1) Review where you’re at and where you need to be
2) Create a written plan to get there
3) Have someone else review your plan (everything we come up with seems like the right idea…getting an outside opinion is often the difference between success and failure)
4) Implement – TAKE MASSIVE ACTION
5) Measure to make sure the actions you take are producing the right results.
For most of us it’s NOT too late to catch up if things haven’t gone so well in Q1, but not if you don’t get started.
Speak with your manager if you need help, or get a coach. AND an accountability partner.
– Meet weekly
– Make commitments
– Applaud each other when you keep your word
– Kick each other’s ass when you don’t
NOW IS THE TIME TO GET BUSY if you haven’t been doing so in January, February, and March. Spring is a time of rebirth. It’s not too late to be “born-again” for 2024, but waiting could be deadly.
